I've learned quite a bit just reading the many questions and answers. It's really great that there are so many knowledgeable MAC users willing to spend so much of their time helping others like me who are lost in a fog. Considering that my first MAC was the SE followed by a 6600AV, then the 8600/200 which I upgraded to G4, then a G3 Powerbook which I still use and now this Intel IMAC it's embaressing how little I know about the ins and outs of computers. I'm not really concerned about the quality of the video as my old tapes are not that good anyway. Perhaps one of the other conversion programs would work. I rarely use it anymore and would probably not use a new one either. ![]() I can't really justify a new camera even though mine is ten years old. The support people at DVDxDV are trying to help. mov file which I can play in QuickTime but it will not import into Imovie. I did buy the DVDxDV program but have not been able to make it work. and, next time, try the forum's search-feature. None of these apps override copyprotection mechanisms as on commercial dvds.
